Official Israeli law enforcers have officially disbanded the violent gang that was allegedly engaging in ambush attacks on delivery couriers by tricking them with fake orders throughout the Central District of Israel. The indictment against the gangsters has been issued at the Lod District Court by the Central District Prosecutor’s Office following the completion of a successful investigation that identified the perpetrators soon after the crime occurred.
Three people have been indicted by the prosecution, which includes two cousins aged in their 20s from Lod and Ramla and one woman from Jaffa. In official court documents, it is reported that the criminals committed ambush attacks armed with weapons over a period of two months and were able to successfully steal commercial items, personal belongings, and money worth tens of thousands of shekels.
Investigators from the Lod Police Station revealed that the illicit operation depended on a precise, multi-stage strategy. The female suspect allegedly played the central operational role by contacting local commercial businesses to place delivery orders using fabricated customer names and fictitious destination addresses. Once the merchants dispatched a driver, she immediately coordinated with her accomplices, sending them the precise location details and the anticipated arrival timeframe.
When unsuspecting delivery drivers arrived at the designated locations, they were confronted by the two male suspects wearing full-face masks and armed with chemical pepper spray. The assailants repeatedly launched physical attacks on the couriers, disabling them with pepper spray before stealing their cash, personal belongings, and commercial deliveries. In several documented instances, the couriers suffered physical injuries, while their vehicles sustained heavy property damage during the violent confrontations.
The police investigation was launched following a severe attack in Lod on July 23, where masked assailants shattered a delivery driver’s vehicle windows to steal his money and equipment. Recognizing a recurring operational pattern across multiple incidents in Lod and Ramla, the Lod Police Station formed a specialized task force to trace the group’s movements.
Detectives from Lod joined forces with tactical officers from the Shfela Yassam unit to institute covert surveillance against the suspects. On August 7, law enforcement personnel executed a targeted intervention, capturing all three individuals in the act minutes after they committed another violent robbery.
Following extended interrogations at the central police station, prosecutors formally charged the defendants with group-administered armed robbery, aggravated assault, and illegal vehicle entry. Evidence presented to the court includes forensic material, operational tracking logs, and official video footage documenting the physical arrest of the suspects.
